I'm the kind of girl who doesn't waste time matching socks • Dougie Houser was my first love • Matcha > coffee. Every dang time • I had 6 wisdom teeth • Sometimes I wear slippers to the grocery store • I prefer news radio to music. NPR is an addiction, really • I have my MA in interior design • I can blow bubbles with my saliva • I pretty much live for teen dramedies. My kid may or may not be named after a character on One Tree Hill • I've swam in the Nile river • I have a reoccurring long arm hair named Ricky Fitness. [approx 2"] • I want to own a summer camp • In junior high I wore overalls every Monday. And called them my Monday Overalls, naturally • Agave is my jam. No, literally. I use agave as jam. PBA anyone? • I know every song in Newsies by heart • I want to live off the land. Like full on. Grow everything we eat. The whole bit.

I have always loved getting to know new people

I have always been a pretty laid back, low maintenance chick. Not afraid to poke fun at myself, a little loud (sometimes annoying), tomboy for the win. 🙌🏼  Grew up playing soccer and singing in church. I loved being on stage and on the field; I would say I felt most comfortable in the limelight. The excitement, the rush, the pressure to preform and see my hard work pay off was a thrill for me. I have always loved getting to know new people, discovering interesting facts about them and learning more about the world around me. I am constantly geeking out over various topics. Finding some new interest and researching the heck out of it. Recently, I started homeschooling my 5 year old mini and I love seeing the thrill of learning in her eyes. I hope she always cultivates that sense of wonder.

Work shouldn’t be just something to get through to get to the fun stuff; it should BE the fun stuff

I married my college sweetheart about ten years ago. We bonded over a beach volleyball match; his nerdy charm and quick witted sarcasm instantly won me over. We have created one tiny human, who we call Peej. She is the best thing in life. I grew up in a very expressive, creative, fun loving environment. I was often told that I was capable of doing anything I set my mind to. I think that's why I ended up doing this. Because it was so important to me to find that one thing I really loved doing. That work shouldn't be just something to get through to get to the fun stuff; it should BE the fun stuff.

Just do you and I’ll be there every step of the way to photograph it

I want to be part of your family for the day. Hang out with you guys, play with the kids, get to know you so that I can best photograph your crew. When i say, “just do you and I’ll be there every step of the way to photograph it,” this is what I mean. I pay close attention to those little (and big) things you do. The way you hold your baby's toes to help calm him down. How you sweep the hair off your daughter’s face to give her that quick peck on the forehead, reminding her you think of her throughout the day, all day.

Wouldn’t it be great if you don’t have to worry about your kids being good. If JUST BEING is what’s good.

Wouldn't it be great if you didn't have to stress about your next photo shoot? If you didn't have to worry about picking the perfect outfits, making your house flawless, or... if you don't have to worry about your kids being good. If JUST BEING is what's good. When I photograph you, I want to provide a snapshot of what your life is like RIGHT NOW. Like a time capsule that you can open whenever you like to remember just how a normal day felt with those you love most.

Contact me, I'd love to chat.
